South Bend Cubs wrap up season this week at Four Winds Field

This week is the final time for fans to get out to Four Winds Field to see the South Bend Cubs play.

The Cubs (22-37), a Chicago Cubs affiliate, have been eliminated from Midwest League playoff contention so this week's homestand that begins Tuesday night against the Quad Cities River Bandits (22-37) will end their season. Quad Cities, also out of playoff contention, is an affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. The teams are currently tied for last place in the Midwest League's West Division for the second half.

All homestand games take place at Four Winds Field, 501 W. South Street, South Bend. Tickets can be purchased online at SouthBendCubs.com or by calling the Box Office at 574-235-9988. The box office is open during the week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekend game days until the seventh inning.

Tuesday's game (7:05 p.m.) is Tail Waggin and Triple Play Tuesday. Fans can bring their dog to the park. Special ticket offer is a game ticket, hot dog and 24-ounce fountain drink for $13. Those tickets must be purchased 24 hours in advance.

Wednesday (7:05 p.m.) is Dylan Cease Bobblehead Giveaway. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Bobblehead of the now Chicago White Sox pitcher. The Chicago Cubs selected Cease in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB draft. Ceason played for the South Bend Cubs in 2017, going 1-2 with a 2.79 ERA in 13 starts, before being part of a four-man trade to the White Sox for Jose Quintana on July 13, 2017.

On Thirsty Thursday (7:05) fans can enjoy $2 fountain drinks and 16-ounce domestic draft beer.

Friday (7:05) will include post-game fireworks and it is Ivey Tech Night.

It is then Spin to Win Saturday (7:05) when nine contestants will spin a wheel for prizes. There will also be post-game fireworks and it is Fan Appreciation Night, with in-game giveaways.

Sunday's (2:05) final game of the season is Fan Appreciation Day. The first 2,000 fans through the gate will receive a Cooler Bag. There is a pre-game autograph session and an opportunity to play catch on the field pre-game.
