Social media saddened: Georgia’s Brock Bowers undergoing ankle surgery

Georgia Bulldogs superstar tight end Brock Bowers suffered a high ankle sprain against the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Bowers will undergo TightRope surgery on his left ankle on Oct. 16. He is expected to make a full recovery, but Georgia football has not provided a timeline on his return.

Recoveries from TightRope surgery vary, but a four-to-six week timeline is reasonable. Bowers should be able to return before the SEC championship game. A pair of Brock Bowers’ Georgia teammates have also undergone TightRope surgery this season. Tight end Lawson Luckie missed about six weeks of action after undergoing the procedure.

Georgia and college football social media were saddened to hear Brock Bowers required ankle surgery.
