Social media roasts the Texas Longhorns who had zero players selected in the 2022 NFL draft

The Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns combined for seven selections in the 2022 NFL draft. And Oklahoma had the seven.

One of the more entertaining aspects of the draft weekend was the notable absence of a Texas Longhorns player getting selected. There were 262 picks made over the three-day event and zero Longhorns were chosen. Zero.

A Texas team that had the third-best recruiting class in 2018 and 2019 and a top 10 class in 2020 couldn’t get one player taken in the draft. They were one of three Big 12 schools to not have a player taken. The other two were TCU and West Virginia, not exactly schools that have been sitting at the top of the conference.

As you would guess, social media had a field day roasting the Texas Longhorns for their lacking presence during the 2022 NFL draft. If you love wading through a sea of burnt orange sadness, scroll with us as we share with you some of the best roasts of Texas Longhorns football.

Where's Texas?

Gary Patterson, what did you do?

Boom, Roasted!

Again, someone's missing

Maybe let North Dakota State in the Big 12?

New Big 12 Schools Shining

Crazy, when you think about it

Baylor getting in on the fun

Kansas owning Texas again

What?

Texas and Vanderbilt, future SEC rivals

Hard to argue against it

Aggies, you aren't exempt

A great question

And the Longhorns had ZERO

Not a great start to the Steve Sarkisian era

Which UT is greater?

A new record

Not one

All that money spent and nothing to show for it

27 straight drafts seems good. Is that good?

Just sit this one out
