Snow postponements, rescheduled dates for Des Moines metro area high school basketball, wrestling

About 10 inches of snow in central Iowa caused school closures and event postponements Tuesday, including many high school basketball games and wrestling meets.

Here are some of the scheduling changes for the CIML, the Iowa Alliance Conference and the Little Hawkeye Conference:

Boys high school basketball

  • Dowling Catholic at Ankeny Centennial — postponed to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13.

  • Johnston at Ankeny — postponed to 7:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5.

  • Southeast Polk at Waukee — postponed to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.

  • WDM Valley at Waukee Northwest — postponed, new date TBD.

  • Marshalltown at Des Moines Hoover — postponed, new date TBD.

  • Waterloo East at Des Moines Roosevelt — postponed, new date TBD.

  • Des Moines Lincoln at Mason City — postponed to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1.

  • Norwalk at Newton — postponed to 6:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22.

  • Dallas Center-Grimes at Pella Christian — postponed to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18.

  • Indianola at Pella Community — postponed to 7:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29.

  • Dowling Catholic at Ankeny Centennial — postponed to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13.

  • Johnston at Ankeny — postponed to 6:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5.

  • Southeast Polk at Waukee — postponed to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.

  • WDM Valley at Waukee Northwest — postponed, new date TBD.

  • Waterloo East at Des Moines Roosevelt — postponed, new date TBD.

  • Des Moines Lincoln at Mason City — postponed to 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1.

  • Waukee Northwest at Southeast Polk — postponed to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11.

  • Lewis Central, Perry at WDM Valley — canceled.

  • Ankeny, Ankeny Centennial, North Polk, Dowling Catholic, Urbandale at Johnston — postponed to 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15.

  • Clarke, Colfax-Mingo, Newton at Dallas Center-Grimes — postponed, new date TBD.
