Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey in the gym working on tougher layup packages

As training camp continues to rapidly approach for the Philadelphia 76ers, now is the time for players to get their final individual workouts in and prepare for the grind of the upcoming season.

Second-year guard Tyrese Maxey has been in the gym constantly working on adding a 3-point shot to his arsenal, which will definitely come in handy, but another thing he would like to add is a tougher layup package.

By that, it means mostly awkward finishes. Due to his smaller stature, there will be times where Maxey will have to come up with some awkward and tougher finishes around the basket. There will be bigger defenders who will alter his shots and he will have to make adjustments in order to have success on the offensive end.

As important as it is for Maxey to add a 3-point shot, the addition of this little wrinkle to his game will come in handy as well. Philadelphia will need him to be a very versatile player on the offensive end after they were able to get him off his beloved floater as he was getting to the basket more often.
