He was also offered by Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Eastern Michigan, Elon, Florida International, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri State, Murray State and Youngstown State.

Wibberley played left tackle for Dixie, protecting the blind side of standout quarterback Logan Landers while helping the Colonels average 26 points and over 300 yards per game. Dixie finished 7-5.

Wibberley also has a plus-4.0 average in the classroom.

"Evan is the best offensive lineman I have ever coached,” Brossart said. “He is physical, aggressive and can move. He is a student of the game and loves to work. He loves practice, he loves film, he loves lifting...he just loves everything about football. To be a DI guy, you got to have more than just talent. You got to have the size. He can run. Not only is he a great player, he is an outstanding young man. We are so proud of Evan."

Western Kentucky University is 8-5 this season and was runner-up in Conference USA after losing to one of this year’s Group of 5 darlings, UTSA (Texas-San Antonio). WKU will play Appalachian State in the Boca Raton Bowl Dec. 18.
