Shreveport Times Athlete of the Week 37 ballot features 22 area athletes
Voting is now open online for the final Shreveport Times High School Athlete of the Week poll, sponsored by Raising Cane’s and the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, of the 2022-23 school year. It includes student-athletes in Northwest Louisiana high school sports other than football from 22 northwest Louisiana schools.
Fans of those students, their schools or their particular sport can vote at shreveporttimes.com under “sports” for their favorite. Voting will continue through Thursday night with the winner announced Saturday.
Previous winners include Jacob Kershaw of North DeSoto, Isabelle Russell and Tate Sellers of Benton and Ernie Perry III of Airline.
Weekly winners will receive a duffle bag, a boxed lunch combo and some additional swag courtesy of Raising Cane’s.

On the Week 37 ballot for the 2022-23 school year are Natalie Sin, Caddo Magnet tennis; Paris Mendones, Airline Bowling; Taylor Faust, Zwolle softball; Kylie Ryan, Minden softball; Georgia French, Many softball; Kynzee Anderson, Calvary softball; Cade Patterson, Ruston baseball; John Dickey, Red River baseball; Devon Oliver, Parkway track; Nick Bailey, Mansfield track; Hutson Hearron, Northwood baseball; Caleb Roles, North DeSoto baseball; Kyle Rambin, North Caddo baseball; Kenner Lauterbach, Benton baseball; Emmarie Atkins, Logansport softball; Mallory Mayeaux, Loyola softball; Kraegan Jordan, Converse softball; Kevin Robinson, Byrd baseball; Christian Turner, Haughton baseball; Jackson Bleich, Captain Shreve baseball; Kody Jackson, Evangel baseball and Cason Clemons, Glenbrook baseball.
These athletes were chosen because of their performance last week or because their names were submitted by their coach.

The High School Athlete of the Week includes athletes from all LHSAA-sanctioned sports other than football. In the fall, that includes volleyball, cross country, swimming and cheerleading.
