8. Marlboro 2, 9. Brick Memorial 1, 10 innings: Alex D'Ambrosio's single to right with one out in the bottom of the 10th scored Michael Diver and gave Marlboro (11-8) the win over Brick Memorial (14-7).

Marlboro will play at No. 1 seed Ranney Monday in the quarterfinal.

Diver began the winning rally with a single to center with one out. Paul Santos followed with a single to center and Gavin McCarthy was hit by a pitch to load the bases. D'Ambrosio delivered the game-winner on a 1-1 pitch.

Nick Scaff scored the tying run in the fifth on an error on Santos' ground ball.

A Nick Garbooshian sacrifice fly scored Nicco Maribo in the first for Brick Memorial's run.

Alex Frank pitched two hitless innings with three strikeouts and no walks to pick up the win. Lawrence Ellinson scattered five hits in eight hits and struck out seven and walked two over the first eight innings.

Brick Memorial's Michael Gioia scattered six hits, struck out one and walked two over the first nine innings.

Diver was 2-for-3

5. Jackson Memorial 8, 12. Southern 2: A five-run bottom of the second erased a 1-0 deficit as the Jaguars (16-5) defeated the Rams (13-5) to take a 2-1 lead in the season series between the two Shore Conference Class A South teams.

Southern, which had its eight-game winning streak, had defeated Jackson Memorial 6-3 in eight innings Friday in an Ocean County Tournament semifinal. Jackson Memorial defeated Southern 4-3 in nine innings in a Class A South game on April 25.

The two teams, who are tied in the loss column for first place in Class A South, still have a divisional game against each other at Southern.

Jackson Memorial, last season's SCT runner-up, will play at No. 4 seed Rumson-Fair Haven Monday in a SCT quarterfinal.

Brady Wendell had a sacrifice fly, Julian Castro a go-ahead RBI double and Charlie Meglio a run-scoring double in the second. Two other runs scored on an error in the second.

Nick Mellino had a two-run homer in the third and Nick Izzo a solo homer in the fifth for Jackson Memorial.

Mellino went 3-for-3 and scored two runs. Izzo was 2-for-3 and scored two runs.

Three pitchers combined to allow six hits.

Kyle Serino was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Southern.

Shore 1: Brayden Dill's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth drove in Jack Riva with what turned out to be the winning run, Reece Moroney had a sacrifice fly in the third to score Parker Shenman and the Bulldogs (15-4) threw out two runners at the plate as they defeated the Blue Devils (9-10).

Riva had tripled preceding Dill's sacrifice fly. Parker Shenman had doubled before Moroney's sacrifice fly.

Rumson-Fair Haven threw runners out at the plate in the fourth and sixth innings.

Jackson Hinchliffe scattered six hits, struck out six and walked one and hit a batter in five scoreless innings. Cal Champeau pitched a scoreless sixth with a walk and Matt Bruno got the save by pitching the seventh.

Shore pitcher Jeff Barham allowed three hits, struck out three, walked one and hit a batter while pitching a complete-game.

C.J. Sears went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, T.J. Milner went 2-for-3 with a double and scored a run and Joe Santi was 2-for-4 with a double for Shore.

Middletown North will play at No. 2 seed Red Bank Catholic Monday in the quarterfinal.

Manasquan 4, 8 innings: Gavin Degnan continued his season-long tear by hitting a two-run game-winning home run to center with nobody out in the bottom of the eighth after a leadoff walk to Anthony Mursko as the Grifins (19-1) defeated Manasquan (11-10) for their 14th straight win.

It was the second homer of the game and seventh of the season for Degnan. He also had a two-run homer to center in the first after a Mursko double. Degnan is hitting over. 500 for the season.

Degnan also walked three times and stole a base.

Tyler Levine had an RBI single in the sixth to give Donovan Catholic a 3-2 lead before Manasquan tied the game with a run in the seventh and took a 4-3 lead with a run in the eighth.

Levine went 2-for-4 and Joe Maier was 2-for-5 and scored a run.

An RBI single by Cullen Condon, who went 3-for-5 and scored a run gave Manasquan the 4-3 lead. Brett Patten, who went 2-for-4 and stole two bases, had singled and stolen second before Condon's hit.

Donovan Catholic will host No. 6 seed Christian Brothers Academy Monday in the quarterfinal.

6. CBA 3, 11. Toms River East 2: Hunter DelGuercio's single to right with one out in the bottom of the seventh scored Wyatt Hunt and gave the Colts (16-4-1) the win over the Raiders (9-9).

Hunt led off the seventh with a single to left. He moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jack Mocik. Harrison Campi was then intentionally walked. The runners moved up to third and second on a passed ball and James Nitti was walked to load the bases before DelGuercio delivered the game-winner on a 2-1 pitch.

CBA tied the game in the bottom of the sixth when pinch-runner Justin Fuerbacher scored on an error on Will Fahey's ground ball.

Toms River East had taken a 2-1 lead in the top of the sixth on an RBI single to left by Ryan Ushock and when Matt Ferrara scored on a force out at second on Luke Brush's ground ball.

Fahey's single with two outs in the bottom of the fourth drove in DelGuercio in the fourth.

Zaine Toneske picked up the win by getting two outs in the seventh.

CBA starter Nick Harnisch allowed two runs on four hits, struck out four and walked two in 6 1/3 innings.

Toms River East starter Daniel Nafziger allowed three runs, just one earned, struck two and walked two in 6 1/3 innings.

Ushock went 2-for-3.

SEMIFINALS

2. Donovan Catholic 14, 3. Brick Memorial 4, 5 innings: A 10-run first inning propelled the Griffins (18-1) to the win over the Mustangs (14-7) and into the Ocean County Tournament championship game for the first time.

Tyler Levine had a two-run double, Hunter Johnson and Joe Maier each had two-run singles in the first. Another run on an error on a pickoff attempt and three bases-loaded walks.

Levine added a two-run single and Rocco Scarpitti an RBI single in the fourth.

Tyler Garbooshian, Devante Noreiga, Joe Cordi and Jimi Popp had run-scoring singles in the fourth for Brick Memorial.

Donovan Catholic, which has won 13 straight, will play Southern Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Central Regional in the championship game.

4. Southern 6, 1. Jackson Memorial 3, 8 innings: Niko Diamantopoulos two-run single with the bases-loaded and two out in the top of the eighth broke a 3-3 tie and Roger Dreher followed with an RBI single and picked up the win with three innings of relief as the Rams (13-4) defeated the Jaguars (15-5) and advanced to the OCT final for the first time since 2017.

Southern's only OCT championship came in 1977. This only its fourth appearance in the championship game. It also was defeated by Toms River South in the 1983 final. Toms River North defeated the Rams in the 2017 championship game.

Jackson Memorial tied the game on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly by Mike Arent in the bottom of the seventh.

Dreher sent the game to extra innings with a strikeout with runners on second and third.

Dom Miranda had given Southern a 3-2 lead with a solo homer in the sixth. He also had an RBI single in the fourth to give Southern a 1-0 lead.

A Ray Mulhern RBI single in the fifth made it 2-0 Southern.

A two-run opposite field homer to right by Charlie Meglio in the fifth enabled Jackson Memorial to tie the game 2-2. It was Meglio's ninth homer of the season.

It was the second extra inning game the two teams have played this season. Jackson Memorial recorded a 4-3 win in nine innings on April 25. The teams meet again Saturday at 10 a.m. in a Shore Conference Tournament round of 16 game and still have a Shore Conference Class A South game against each other. The two are tied in the loss column in Class A South.

Three pitchers combined on a seven-hitter with four strikeouts and three walks.

Tommy Conroy went 2-for-3 with an RBI and James Larsen was 2-for-3 for Point Beach.

Guzak was 2-for-4 with two RBI for Lacey.

Point Beach will play at three-time defending champion and No. 2 seed Red Bank Catholic in the round of 16 Saturday.

Point Beach 1: Brady Lesiak had an RBI single in the bottom of the first and picked up the save by pitching two scoreless innings with four strikeouts and no walks and Niko Diamantopoulos' sacrifice fly in the fourth drove in Brian Harper with the tie-breaking run as the Rams (10-4) defeated the Garnet Gulls (15-4).

Southern will play at Class A South rival Jackson Memorial Friday in a semifinal. The two teams are currently tied in the loss column for first place in Class A South. Jackson Memorial defeated Southern 4-3 in nine innings on April 25 in a divisional game.

Steven Miller (four innings, one run, two hits, five strikeouts, one walk), Tyler McLeod (one inning, two strikeouts, no walks) and Lesiak (two innings, one hit, four strikeouts, no walks) combined on a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk.

James Larsen struck out five, walked none and scattered seven hits in a complete-game effort for Point Beach.

Nate Clayton went 2-for-3 for the Garnet Gulls

3. Brick Memorial 7, 6. Lacey 6: Joe Cordi's two-run single with two out in the bottom of the seventh gave the Mustangs (12-6) the win over Lions (9-7).

Brick Memorial, which has won six straight, will play at No. 2 seed Donovan Catholic Friday in a semifinal. Brick Memorial's last defeat was 5-1 to Donovan Catholic on April 22.

Nick Garbooshian began the winning rally by reaching on an error with one out. Tyler Garbooshian was hit by a pitch. Then, after a strikeout, pinch-runner Billy Caruso and Tyler Garbooshian stole third and second respectively.

An RBI single by Connor Bragg in the top of the seventh had given Lacey, which trailed 5-1 after four innings, a 6-5 lead.

Nick Garbooshian had a hit and two RBI. Brady Leach was 2-for-4 and scored a run for Brick Memorial.

Anthony Eckerson went 2-for-4 with two RBI, Rylan Messina went 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored a run, Brayden Messina was 2-for-5 with an RBI and scored a run and Bragg had two RBI for Lacey.
