Shilo Sanders is SWAC and will have a Jackson State degree to show for it

It is now official. Shilo Sanders is SWAC.

Shilo Sanders received his Jackson State University degree and posted it on social media. Sanders transferred to Colorado to join his brother, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and father, Deion Sanders. All three left Jackson State for the Buffaloes.

"I'm extremely grateful for my experience here at Jackson State! Ain't nun like a HBCU, Thank y'all for all the love and support," Shilo Sanders wrote on Twitter.

Shilo Sanders played cornerback for Trinity Christian High School in Texas, and helped his team to a 14-0 season and a TAPPS Division II state championship in 2018. Sanders was an Under Armour All-American and was ranked by 247sports.com as the No. 62 cornerback in the country.

He signed with South Carolina out of high school and played in 32 games in two seasons. Sanders' statistics were modest with 23 solo tackles. He was named to SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll in 2019.

Sanders transferred to JSU in 2021 to play for his father and was selected Second-Team All-SWAC selection, and tied for second in SWAC with four interceptions. Sanders was injured in 2022 playing in seven games with 15 solo tackles, five assist, and one interception.

Sanders made the biggest play of his college career in helping JSU win their first SWAC title. Sanders' intercepted Southern quarterback Glendon McDaniel on the last pass of the game to give JSU a 21-17 SWAC championship in 2021.

Sanders helped Jackson State win consecutive SWAC titles and play in back-to-back Cricket Celebration Bowls in 2021-22.
