Brent Burns' cardio levels are not human
The San Jose Sharks have gone the distance this postseason, reaching Game 7 in both playoff rounds, and adding four additional overtime periods.
Leading all playoff skaters by almost an hour of ice time is Sharks defenceman Brent Burns. He’s played nearly the equivalent of skating every regulation minute for an entire seven-game series.
Brent Burns has logged 408:59 of time on ice through two rounds, nearly an hour more than the next-closest player (53:44).

The 34-year-old veteran hasn’t slowed down his point production with all the additional ice time he’s seen this postseason. The Norris Trophy nominee has tallied a point per game through two rounds heading into the Western Conference final.
The Sharks and Blues begin another series that is expected to go the distance with Game 1 on Saturday night. At this pace, Burns could hit over 600 minutes on ice by the end of this round... legs feed the wolf right?
