Shai Gilgeous-Alexander holds mini-training camp with majority of Thunder roster at BGU Runs

NBA training camp starts this month, but it appears Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander decided to hold his own camp with some of his teammates recently.

Thirteen Thunder players attended Olin Simplis’ Big Guard U NBA runs. The 13 players were Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, Lu Dort, Ousmane Dieng, Jalen Williams, Tre Mann, Darius Bazley, Aleksej Pokusevski, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Jaylin Williams, Aaron Wiggins, Lindy Waters III and Eugene Omoruyi.

Some Thunder coaches, such as Chip Engelland, were also in attendance.

Simplis is a certified NBA & WNBA Player Developmental coach who has previously trained Gilgeous-Alexander.

Thanks to Thunder Film Room, the full 19 minute video was cut down to the 9:47 that involved Thunder players.

This is an encouraging sign that shows Gilgeous-Alexander continues to take on a leadership role with the youngest team in the league. Being able to run a mini-training camp right before the actual NBA training camp begins shows the team is full of players ready to take that next step in their development.
