The Times-Delta/Advance-Register will recognize Tulare County's top high school sports performers on a weekly basis this school year.
Coaches, please submit your results/top performers after each game, match or meet to sports reporter Vongni Yang at vyang2@gannett.com to have players highlighted.

Jan. 25
Boys basketball
Elijah Casas, Redwood: Casas delivered 16 points to lead Redwood to a 62-52 win over El Diamante.
Zander Jensen, Redwood: Jensen scored 13 points.
Santana Guijarro, El Diamante: Guijarro exploded for 33 points.
Josh Velasques, El Diamante: Velasques had eight points.
Ezra Ayers, El Diamante: Ayers added five points.
Boys soccer
Beckham Ybarra, El Diamante: Ybarra scored three goals to lead the Miners to a 4-1 victory over Redwood.
Joshua Urista, El Diamante: Urista delivered all three assists on Ybarra's strikes.
Roberto Marquez, El Diamante: Marquez also found the back of the net.
Nathan Contreras, El Diamante: Contreras dished an assist.
Girls basketball
Sydney Calderon, Redwood: Calderon recorded 14 points, three rebounds, two assists, five steals and four deflections in a 79-42 loss to El Diamante.
Aryel Chavez, Redwood: Chavez added 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and two deflections.
Emma Vargas, Redwood: Vargas had seven points, seven rebounds, an assist, three steals and three deflections.
Ahriel Madden, Redwood: Madden chipped in six points, seven rebounds and a steal.

Carlie Williams, Golden West: Williams registered an individual win as the Trailblazers topped El Diamante 47-30.
Kayliegh Fernandez, Golden West: Fernandez won her match.
Alexus Rios, Golden West: Rios was the victor in her match.
Isabella Rios, Golden West: Rios also won in her match.
Ariana Ramos, Golden West: Ramos had a win.
Makayla Castellanoz, Golden West: Castellanoz picked up an individual victory.
Marissa Luna, Golden West: Luna was victorious in her match.
Bella Castellanoz, Golden West: Castellanoz wrapped up her performance with a win.

Ayden Archaga, Golden West: Archaga won his match to help the Trailblazers beat 38-36.
Caleb Rivas, Golden West: Rivas won his match.
Francisco Lopez, Golden West: Lopez picked up an individual win.
David Lopez, Golden West: Lopez was a winner.
Michael Ramos, Golden West: Ramos had a win.
Blake Pacheco, Golden West: Pachecho was victorious in his match.
Adrian Solano, Golden West: Solano came out on top in his match.
Gilberto Barajas, Golden West: Barajas also won his match.
Jan. 23
Boys basketball
Zander Jensen, Redwood: Jensen dropped a team-high 16 points to anchor the Rangers to a 50-35 win over Mt. Whitney. Redwood improved to a perfect 5-0 in East Yosemite League play. Jensen drained three 3-pointers in the victory.
Cole Gilcrest, Redwood: Gilcrest netted 15 points and registered five blocks. Redwood sealed the win in the second half, outscoring the Pioneers 24-10.
Evan Galley, Redwood: Galley added seven points.
Isaac Esquivel, Redwood: Esquivel had six points.
Elijah Casas, Redwood: Casas also contributed six points.
Israel Briggs, Mt. Whitney: Briggs racked up a team-best 16 points.
Santana Guijarro, El Diamante: Guijarro scored 25 points to lead the Miners to a 58-29 win over Golden West. Guijarro surpassed 1,000 career points in the EYL victory.
Josh Velasquez, El Diamante: Velasquez added 10 points.
Emiliano Cervantes, El Diamante: Cervantes had eight points.
Jagar Brooks, Golden West: Brooks finished with 11 points.
Girls basketball
Emma Vargas, Redwood: Vargas registered 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal to help the Rangers (12-10, 2-3) knock off Mt. Whitney 55-23.
Brooklyn Tayo, Redwood: Tayo knocked down eight points with two rebounds, an assist and two steals.
Citali Barajas, Redwood: Barajas had seven points, five rebounds, three assists, a block and three steals.

Girls basketball
Jazmaine Stewart, Farmersville: Stewart delivered 29 points and seven steals to carry the Aztecs to a 70-15 rout of Orange Cove. The sophomore surpassed 1,000 career points in the victory.
Janessa Garza, Farmersville: Garza generated 24 points and five steals.
Jan. 20
Boys wrestling
Christopher Creason, El Diamante: Creason captured first place at 157 pounds at the annual California Invitational Tournament in Morro Bay to earn the tournament's outstanding upperweight award. He had a win by pin in the second-round finals. Creason, a sophomore, is 24-3 on the season and is currently ranked sixth in the state in his division.
Caleb Rivas, boys wrestling, Golden West: Rivas placed first in his weight class at the CIT. Rivas won the 120-pound title and registered a pin in the finals' first round. He was the tournament's outstanding lowerweight grappler. Rivas, a junior, is currently ranked seventh in the state in his weight class and has a 20-4 record this season.

Boys basketball
Zander Jensen, Redwood: Jensen led the Rangers with 13 points in a 51-35 victory over Golden West.
Cole Gilcrest, Redwood: Gilcrest finished with 10 points and three blocks.
Evan Galley, Redwood: Galley contributed nine points.
Elijah Casas, Redwood: Casas had six points.
Isaac Esquivel, Redwood: Esquivel added five points.
Javon Holmes, Golden West: Holmes drained three triples and finished with 11 points.
Jagar Brooks, Golden West: Brooks had eight points.
Girls soccer
Avery Yagle, Redwood: Yagle had two goals and an assist in a 5-0 win against Golden West.
Paityn Bruce, Redwood: Bruce scored a goal and dished an assist.
Emmah Garcia, Redwood: Garcia delivered a pair of assists.
Graycie Serpa, Redwood: Serpa also found the back of the net.
Alecksandra Ortiz, Redwood: Ortiz bagged a goal on a free kick.

Girls basketball
Jazmaine Stewart, Farmersville: Stewart dropped 25 points with nine steals as the Aztecs defeated Orosi 55-39.
Estrella Valencia, Farmersville: Valencia had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
