See the participants for the Capital Area High School All-Star Games

Several of Greater Lansing’s top senior boys and girls basketball players are slated to play in the 10th annual Capital Area High School All-Star Games on Wednesday evening.

The games will take place at Lansing Community College with the girls tipping off at 6 p.m. and the boys following at 7:30 p.m. A 3-point contest and dunk contest will take place in between games. Admission is $10.

The boys game features numerous area all-state players. DeWitt’s Bryce Kurncz, Eastern’s KyRen McKnight and Tavion Harden, Pewamo-Westphalia’s Jamison Eklund, Waverly’s Darrius Welch and Deonte Roberts, Lansing Catholic’s Luch Guerrazzi, Charlotte’s Braden Hill, Potterville’s Chris Hicks and Ionia’s Lance Atkinson are part of the East squad. Charlotte’s Tom Fleming will coach the team.

The West squad features area players Isaiah Foster of Holt, Eli Woodruff of Laingsburg, Sexton’s Dai'John Chandler, Bath’s DeVondre Chandler and Alma’s Sam Rosales. Flint Beecher’s Robert Lee, Kalamazoo Central’s Hutch Ward, Muskegon’s Jordan Briggs, Savionn Campbell and Terrell White of Jackson and Flint Hamady’s Lamont Torbert are also on the West roster. The team will be coached by Laingsburg’s Daniel Morrill.

Playing on the East squad for the girls game are DeWitt’s Gabbie Brya, Peyton Anderson and Alex Charles, P-W’s Sierra Schneider and Mackenna Weber, Laingsburg’s Ellie Baynes and Eastern’s Sam Cronkright. P-W coach Steve Eklund will lead the team.

The area players on the West squad include Haslett’s Maddie Fant, Waverly’s Jasmine Brown and Miah McConnell, Potterville’s Kaylee Bush, Carson City-Crystal’s Kennedi Stout and Portland St. Patrick’s Natalee Teachworth. Zoie Bamm of Brooklyn Columbia Central and Kulayjah Weller from Jackson are also part of the West team, which will be coached by Hemlock’s Scott Neumeyer.
