SEC Tournament: Tennessee releases statement on playing Vanderbilt game
The Southeastern Conference Tournament is taking place Tuesday-Sunday at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama.
Tennessee won the SEC regular-season championship and is the No. 1 seed. Texas A&M won the SEC West division and is the No. 2 seed in Hoover.
The Vols were slated to play No. 8 Vanderbilt in its first game Wednesday. Vanderbilt defeated Ole Miss in a single-elimnation game, 3-1, Tuesday.
Following weather delays during the SEC Tournament, the University of Tennessee released a statement regarding Wednesday’s game against the Commodores.
“Be advised, the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game will not be played tonight,” Tennessee announced. “We will provide more details when we have them.”
