Brian Burns is ready to be drafted. Most recently a defensive end at Florida State University, he’s projected to be a first-round pick in the NFL draft, which takes place between April 25 and April 27. “I want everything to hit me like a bus,” Burns said of getting drafted. “I want it to be a surreal moment, I don’t want to anticipate anything… Whatever comes, I’m taking it all, whatever I get.”

As for what follows, he has a detailed plan. First stop, to see “Avengers: Endgame” with his friends. “I got to see my movie just because Spiderman’s in it, and that’s my alter ego,” Burns said, smiling. (Burns sees them as having similar qualities: “agility, speed, quickness, length, instinct,” and endearingly will refer to himself as Spider Burns on occasion.) After that, he’ll attend a huge celebration his mom plans to throw. Did we mention 10 of Burns’ family members will be attending the draft with him? Among them will be his brother Stanley McClover, a defensive end who played in the NFL himself, from 2006 to 2008.

So, what separates Burns from all the other draft prospects? He thinks it’s his presence. “They’re all great players, had great [college] careers,” Burns said of the others, “but I think I set myself apart from them because I’m a natural leader. I feel like I bring natural abilities that they just don’t have.”

Plus, Burns is fiercely determined. “When I step onto the NFL field, it’s going to be different from college because … I got something to prove,” he said. “I just want to show everybody that I’m hungry. I have a positive attitude and I’m ready to work and learn.”

We teamed up with Pizza Hut to get a glimpse into what the days leading up to the draft have been like for Burns, what he’s most looking forward to about playing in the NFL and more. Check out the video above to see for yourself.
