Scottish Premiership fan views: Upbeat Killie and Dundee fans - but Aberdeen supporters just want season to end
With just a point and a goal separating Celtic and Rangers ahead of next weekend's head-to-head at Ibrox, both sets of supporters are - perhaps unsurprisingly - getting just a wee bit fired up.
But they're not the only ones feeling the love this Easter weekend. The first round of league action since the international break saw Dundee, Hearts and Kilmarnock supporters enjoying the kind of rush brought about by crucial league results. Well that or too much chocolate.
We asked for your views on a huge weekend of action in the Premiership - so here are your surprisingly chipper takes on it. Livingston and Hibs fans might want to look away, though…
'A breath of fresh air'
Celtic moved back to the top of the Premiership with a 3-0 win at the Tony Macaroni Arena, after initially struggling to overcome some dogged defending by Livingston.
Stephen: We were patient and reaped the rewards on a horrible surface. I was glad that Callum McGregor wasn't risked as he will be vital for the game this week.
Aaron: I thought Celtic were good today as a whole - just lacking that cutting edge in the final third. Kuhn was outstanding and it was brilliant to see Hatate back in the starting 11. He was a breath of fresh air in the middle of the park.
Graham: We made very hard work of first half, and come the second half it was more of the same until we scored. Have to be above this level of football next week, otherwise we can kiss the league goodbye.
For Livi supporters, though, the feeling that the end is nigh to their six-year spell in the top flight was clear.
Jennifer: If it hadn't been for the keeper it would've been easy five or six. The second half, we didn't pose any threat at all
Kev: On paper points for survival are there, though performances aren't. There's a few players who are not giving their all for the team. They're lucky that they can under perform, still be paid and there's no real personal consequences.
Phillip: The Championship is inevitable now! I am still confused as to why the board didn't make a management change earlier than now. It seems that they have just accepted relegation as our fate. I'm very worried about the future of the club given the financial implications of relegation to a team already struggling financially in the Premiership.
'We won't appreciate Tav until he's gone'
Across Glasgow, the Rangers support had one consistent complaint after their 3-1 win over Hibs at Easter Road on Saturday…
Stu: Better finishing from Dessers and Sima and we could have scored five. I think Celtic should be fearful, Rangers are getting most of the squad back in perfect timing for the business end of the season.
Ronnie: Goldson and Soutar were immense. Dessers - a great goal, works his socks off yet still leaves you feeling frustrated. More pluses than negatives however. We will only get stronger as the season reaches its climax.
Chris: Three points was the main thing, was not in doubt to be honest, but once again Captain Fantastic stepped up. We really won't appreciate Tavernier until he's gone.
For the Hibs fans, though, it was clear there's one figure above all they were unhappy with.
Kenny: There is no heart in this team and that can only come from the manager. The writing is on the wall again. Hibs are a big team and we need a manager that can deliver, a manager with a track record. Right now we are on the road to nowhere.
Mark: That's top six more or less gone. Another failed managerial experiment. Killie, St Mirren and Dundee all have much smaller turnovers, but they also have better, more competent people running their clubs and managing their teams. That's why they are in the top six and we aren't.
Martin: Can't see Monty here next season… with the level of investment coming, a better manager must be lined up
Although it wasn't all bad news if you're Nick Montgomery…
Sandy: A reoccurring theme is to call for the managers head. How about building on what we have now?
Just rewards
Outside the title race, Hearts fans saw their team all but guarantee third place with a battling 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock, a result that left both sides' supporters in an upbeat mood.
Alan (Hearts fan): Four points from our remaining two fixtures before the break and we've all but got 3rd spot tied up, plus a semi final to look forward to. I wasn't pro Naismith getting the gig, but didn't want him sacked when things weren't so good either - now I'd love to see him getting the contract extension he deserves.
Amy (Kilmarnock fan): We had the best chances in the game and were unlucky to not have taken all three points. Marley's goal was outstanding but Vassell was unplayable at times and Kennedy never stopped. What a chance to cement fourth place in the next few weeks.
Gez (Hearts fan): I'm old, I'm tired, I'm ..... pleased with our progress. This time last year it was a game where we would have folded, as well as plenty of seasons before that. We didn't today, though. We gutsed it out. We got a point. The journey home feels okay!
Anna (Kilmarnock fan): Brilliant away point that's secured a top 6 place. Even when 1-0 down, Killie had more than enough to bag an equaliser. What an absolute belter from Marley Watkins, that guy was awesome. With form like this, we can go far and a place in Europe would be a just reward after the brilliant season we've had.
John (Kilmarnock fan): Another good point but we have to come back from a deficit. We can't keep getting into these situations every week - we won't always come back. Still it's a great season, maybe third next season and maybe a run in Europe.
Top six in reach
Up the coast, Dundee's cup was positively running over after their 2-1 win over St Johnstone.
Mark: Three points in the bag, up the road and back in the top six. Not the best performance of the season but wins are all that matter at this stage. A word for Mo Sylla and Lyle Cameron, outstanding performances from both of them.
Ron: The top six is well and truly in reach. We need a result vs Motherwell and Premiership status secured. Cameron, McGowan and Sylla were outstanding today in the middle of the pack and as Docherty rightly says, we're finally gaining the nous to see out games for three points even when not playing your best.
Brian: Dundee had to work hard today, but the team's resilience has been evident throughout the season.
And elsewhere?
Ally (St Johnstone fan): Listening to Craig Levein's post-match interview, it is no surprise that we are in the position we are. His ideal result is 1-0. You need a really solid midfield and defence, we have neither. It will take a big turnaround for us to avoid the play-off spot.
James (Motherwell fan): A very poor match, but a point that was deserved. Motherwell are a poor side - we need to rebuild for next season.
Jim (Motherwell fan): Turgid match yesterday, typical of the fare served up all season by a mixture of short term loanees, players out of position or past their sell-by date and a defence that's continually been shuffled.
But let us save the last words for the Dons faithful, who are now just chalking up the days on a wall until this season is over.
Duncan: While it wasn't pretty, it's a massive three points metaphorically. The work in progress is progressing slowly and will improve when the management issues are resolved.
Richard: It will never go down as a classic and Ross County maybe feel they should have shared the spoils. But as Dons fan this season can't end quick enough with us in the Premiership and a new manager to get the Dons playing well again at the top end of the table.
Ross: I wouldn't bemoan a season in the Championship to be rid of VAR for a while at least!
