HILLDALE SWEEPS VINITA — Hilldale cruised past Vinita in doubleheader action and move into second place behind Miami in the district race. Hilldale (14-10, 11-3) won the first game, 16-1 thanks to a nine-run fourth inning that closed out the game. Addyison Sands went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs. In the nightcap, Hilldale shutout Vinita, 13-0 as it scored seven runs in the third inning to go up 10-0. Lilly Beverage led at the plate going 2-for-5 with an RBI while Macie Mackey had three RBIs and Kensley Allen had a first inning two-run home run which helped Hilldale take a 3-0 lead early.

NSU/TAHLEQUAH TOURNAMENT, AT NSU — Fort Gibson beat Pryor, 3-1 on Saturday. Winning pitcher Kaiah Austin led FTG (15-17) to victory with a three-run home run in the fifth inning. Fort Gibson turned three double plays in the win and Matty Laney went 2-for-3. Fort Gibson's second game with Jay was canceled due to stormy weather.
