Ryan Stonehouse named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Tennessee Titans punter Ryan Stonehouse is taking home his second award of the 2022 campaign. Stonehouse has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his Week 10 showing against the Denver Broncos.

In the game, Stonehouse attempted eight punts and ripped off 54 yards per tote while also dropping three inside the 10 and posting a long of 74.

Through nine games, Stonehouse leads the NFL in gross average punt yards (53.2) and is third in net average punt yards (45.3). His 20 punts landing inside the 20 ranks tied for fourth.

This is the second honor the rookie has received during his special rookie season, as he was also named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October.

The undrafted free agent out of Colorado State had a lot of pressure on his shoulders going into this season, as he was replacing one of the franchise’s greats, Brett Kern.

However, Stonehouse has answered the bell, and then some.
