Rutgers football offers Ohio tight end Gavin Grover
An offer went out from Rutgers this week to Ohio tight end Gavin Grover. It is the latest push by the Scarlet Knights into a deep-region in terms of Big Ten recruiting.
A three-star tight end and defensive end, the class of 2024 athlete is ranked as the No. 13 player on Ohio and the No. 15 tight end according to 247Sports.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound tight end plays for Olentangy (Lewis Center, OH). The Braves went 3-8 last season.
He holds ‘Power Five’ offers from Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech along with Rutgers. He also holds an offer from Cincinnati, a program that will soon be joining the Big 12.

The Scarlet Knights currently do not have a commit in the 2024 recruiting class. Their 2023 recruiting class is currently No. 38 in the nation according to 247Sports.

The previous recruiting class was ranked No. 33 in the nation. That group was highlighted by four-star quarterback Gavin Wimsatt, who re-classified and graduated from high school early and is technically a part of the 2021 recruiting class.
