Royals Opening Day: What to know for fans headed to the game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Opening Day is around the corner for the Kansas City Royals, who are expected to take a leap after major offseason changes.

The Royals will clash with their AL Central rival, the Minnesota Twins, for a three-game series. They will look to insert themselves in the playoff conversation for the first time since 2015 when they won the World Series.

The team spent over $100 million in the offseason, in hopes of transforming a team that suffered 106 losses last season, tying a franchise record.

Here is what you need to know if you’re headed to the ballpark for Opening Day.
