Rootstown seeks new boys basketball coach

Rootstown Local Schools is seeking qualified candidates to be the varsity boys basketball head coach, according to a release from the district.

The release notes the district has teaching positions available.

Anyone interested can send a letter of interest and resume to athletic director Keith Waesch at Rootstown High School, 4190 State Route 44, Rootstown, OH 44272. Resumes can also be emailed to waesch@roversk12.org. The deadline is Friday, May 12.

The Rovers were led for the last five seasons by Cody Calhoun, who recently accepted the head coaching position at Aurora. Rootstown finished 4-19 last season with a very young roster that included a single senior.
