Will Herring to join Ronnie Brown as a sideline reporter for Auburn football in 2023

AUBURN — Auburn football fans may feel a bit nostalgic listening to games next season.

In addition to former AU quarterback Jason Campbell joining Andy Burcham in the booth as an analyst — news that was already released in January — another former Tiger is set to join the Auburn Sports Network, too.

Will Herring will be splitting sideline reporting duties with Ronnie Brown next season, Auburn announced Friday afternoon. Brown, who has been on the broadcast team since 2016, Campbell and Herring were all teammates from 2003-04, helping the Tigers to a perfect 13-0 season in 2004.

Herring played four years at Auburn before he was drafted No. 161 overall in the 2007 NFL Draft. He compiled 141 total tackles and eight interceptions with the Tigers and spent eight years in the league, with his final season coming in 2014 with the St. Louis Rams.

PRACTICE OBSERVATIONS: Battle at LG continues for Auburn football. Tate Johnson, Jeremiah Wright or someone else?

Brown spent five seasons on the Plains, totaling 2,707 rushing yards and 30 all-purpose touchdowns. He split reps for the majority of his collegiate career with Cadillac Williams, who has been on the football staff as the team's running backs coach since 2019. Brown was drafted No. 2 overall in 2005 and went on to have an 11-year pro career.

Other members of the Auburn Sports Network include Paul Ellen, who will continue to anchor the tailgate, halftime and postgame shows, and Brad Law, who returns as a pregame and postgame locker-room host.
