Here is the Rockford Register Star's Athlete of the Week winner for May 13-18

In another tough battle, and one of the last of this exciting school year, West Carroll's Emma Randecker came away with the Rockford Register Star's Athlete of the Week victory for the week of May 13-18.

Randecker qualified for state in the tough 100-200-400-meter-dash triple, and then the junior went out and placed first in the 100 dash, second in the 200 dash and fifth in the 400 run. Then she went out and hauled in right around 34 percent of the vote in the Athlete of the Week poll for another big win.

Other nominees were: Lena-Winslow's Alec Schlichting; Stillman Valley's Braden Engel; Harlem's Jackson Heidemann; Guilford's Zariah Burnett and Messiah Tilson; Boylan's Gianna McGraw; Hononegah's Jordan Dimke; North Boone's Dani Franz; and Hononegah's Dani Franz.
