Rockets to host 2023 draft night experience for fans at POST Houston

Located downtown, POST Houston (401 Franklin St.) will be the site of the official 2023 Rockets draft experience on Thursday, June 22. The team is slated to have two picks in the first round, No. 4 and No. 20.

The organization’s official event for fans will include performances by the Clutch City Dancers, Clutch the Bear, the Launch Crew and appearances by several Rockets legends for autographs.

POST Houston has a large food hall featuring local and international vendors that will be open during the event for purchase. There will also be bars located around the facility to purchase beverages.

Other features include a chance for fans to play basketball and win prizes via shooting contests and games on two half-court setups; music by a live DJ and a performance by Clutch City Beats producers; and a feature showing of “Earning Your Stripes,” which profiles Houston’s prized duo of Jabari Smith Jr. and Jalen Green. They were drafted at No. 3 and No. 2 overall in 2022 and 2021, respectively.

The event opens at 5 p.m. local time on draft night, with the draft starting at 7 p.m. Central. Reserved seating is available for $30, which gives fans a reserved seat in a prime location of the video board and a $20 retail gift card to use at the site’s pop-up shop. General admission seating is available for free, though an RSVP is required.

Additional details are available at the event’s website.
