RJ Davis catches attention of NBA draft analyst

If you’ve watched North Carolina play this season, you’re familiar with RJ Davis’ game. He’s been the best player in the Atlantic Coast Conference this season so far, leading the Tar Heels to a 19-5 overall record and an 11-2 record in ACC play.

On Saturday, Davis continued his hot play, leading the Tar Heels with 25 points in a big road win over Miami. The win was huge for the program as they avoided losing three of their last four games. Davis was fantastic for the Tar Heels throughout the game and he even caught the attention of a draft analyst.

Jonathan Givnoy tweeted about Davis following the win over Miami.

Givnoy is an NBA draft analyst at ESPN and one of the more respected analysts with mock drafts that cover the league.

While this is good news for Davis to catch the attention of a draft analyst like Givnoy, he still has work to do on his draft stock. As of now Davis isn’t appearing on mock drafts as we get set for the final month of the regular season.

Davis does have an extra season left in his eligibility due to COVID-19 and he could decide to use it. That would give him one more chance to improve that stock.

But as he keeps playing well for the Tar Heels, he should be at least landing on some radars before seasons’ end.
