Ridgeland baseball coach Eddie Easley resigns after two seasons

Ridgeland baseball coach Eddie Easley has resigned after two seasons.

Easley, 41, has had a 20-year coaching career and wants to spend more time with his family and two children. Easley was the coach at Meridian for four seasons before taking the job at Ridgeland.

"I am looking forward to slowing down and enjoying more family time," Easley said. "Ridgeland is a special place, and I am honored to have been the head coach for the past two seasons. We had a lot of success."

Easley will remain at Ridgeland as a teacher.

Easley had a 43-19 record at Ridgeland and helped the Titans to an MHSAA Class 5A Region 3 district championship and an appearance in the North state championship series in 2023. Ridgeland was knocked out in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs this season in a 2-1 series loss to Saltillo.
