Rich Eisen raises good question about Tyreek Hill’s comments on podcast

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill debuted his podcast, “It Needed to be Said,” on Friday with co-host Julius Collins and Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus.

Throughout the episode, the trio touched on a number of topics, but one of the more interesting aspects of the podcast was the look back at Hill’s time in Kansas City and revealed that he was texting Rosenhaus after games to complain about his usage.

This is the same year that Hill recorded a career-high 111 receptions, 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns on his way to his sixth straight Pro Bowl.

On Tuesday, NFL analyst Rich Eisen posed a fair question about these comments on “The Rich Eisen Show.”

“If he feels that way about [Patrick] Mahomes and [Andy] Reid, how’s he gonna feel about this new situation, when it doesn’t, invariably, go very well,” Eisen asked. “When Belichick might pull his Jedi mind tricks, his dark-side mind tricks on Tua [Tagovailoa]. And, he’s been paid now.”

In a new system with a new quarterback, it’s far from guaranteed that Hill will see the same production he did during his time with the Chiefs. You can say all of the positive things in the world about Tagovailoa right now, but he’s clearly not Mahomes.

At the end of the year, let’s say Tagovailoa struggles. Wouldn’t it be fair to assume that Rosenhaus is receiving more comments from the wideout?

The good thing for Hill, in this situation, is that if Tagovailoa’s stumbling, he probably wouldn’t be the only one in the organization calling for the quarterback’s job. It may be unfair, but we already know they’ve sniffed around at others to fill the role in the past. Then, they would just have one of the league’s start receivers on their side.
