Report: Steelers work out free-agent OT Eric Smith

According to a report by NFL Draft Diamonds, the Pittsburgh Steelers are planning a workout with free-agent offensive tackle Eric Smith.

Smith has been in the league since 2017 when he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins. Smith played his college football at the University of Virginia.

Smith has spent his entire career on a variety of practice squads. Smith has been on the roster of the Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Jets, New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans. He’s done multiple stints with the Jets and Giants.

Pittsburgh added former Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones in the 2023 NFL draft but are still looking to add more depth at the position.
