Report: Rival NBA teams ‘expect’ that Kyrie Irving returns to Brooklyn

As the Kyrie Irving and Brooklyn Nets contract deadline approaches, reports are now coming out that teams around the league are ‘expecting’ the guard to return to Brooklyn.

NBA correspondent Brian Windhorst went on the Get Up show to discuss how teams in the league are reacting to the continued contract breakdowns.

According to Windhorst, “As far as I can tell, as I talk to people around the league, there’s no teams trying to clear space to try to make a path to give Kyrie Irving a big contract.”

Even journalist Adrian Wojnarowski reported that teams, despite rumors of their interest, aren’t acting aggressively in pursuit of the seven-time All-Star.

“I think people do expect that Kyrie Irving will return,” said Wojnarowski.

The two parties have also been reported to be working towards a good “medium.

The organization has limited time as the NBA free agency deadline approaches, so if the team wants to bring him back it’s important to get it done soon.
