Report: RB Damien Harris expected to play vs. Cowboys in Week 6

New England Patriots running back Damien Harris is expected to play against the Dallas Cowboys at Gillette Stadium on Sunday for Week 6, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Harris suffered a rib injury in the second half of Week 5 in the Patriots’ win over the Houston Texans. He missed Wednesday’s practice but trended upward by being a limited participant in Thursday and Friday’s sessions.

He has 53 carries for 230 yards and two touchdowns with seven catches for 46 yards. He also has two fumbles, a turnover issue which has been prevalent among the entire running back group in New England with Rhamondre Stevenson and J.J. Taylor also having one each.

Harris’ presence is particularly important with James White after ending up on injured reserve for the rest of the season due to a hip injury. The team will likely rely heavily upon Harris.
