Report: former Brooklyn Net Seth Curry signs with the Dallas Mavericks

The Brooklyn Nets went into free-agency with one goal in mind: re-sign restricted free-agent Cam Johnson so that he can remain in Brooklyn. While the Nets completed that task, they suffered another loss in free-agency that seems to be testing their depth.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, former Brooklyn Net Seth Curry is signing with the Dallas Mavericks on a two-year contract. Curry, 32, has been in the NBA for the past nine seasons and he spent the past year-and-a-half with the Nets after coming to the franchise in the James Harden-Ben Simmons trade.

Curry has been a valuable bench scorer/shooter in the league ever since he came in as an undrafted free-agent out of Duke in 2013. He has played for eight teams in his career and he will be going back to Dallas for his third stint after playing for the Mavericks in 2016-17 and in 2019-20. Curry is shooting 43.5% from three-point land for his career.
