Report: Bulls focused on finding trade for Zach LaVine

As the season rolls on, it’s becoming more and more clear that the Chicago Bulls need to reset the roster. They just picked up a big-time win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, but they did it without Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan in the lineup.

The Bulls are still just 6-14 on the season. So, while they still technically have a chance to make a playoff push, it seems likely that they fall flat for a second straight season. Since putting this core together, they have won just a single playoff game. And now, they’re focused on making trades.

According to KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, the Bulls are currently focused on finding a trade for LaVine.

“Only Zach LaVine and Coby White remain from the roster Karnišovas inherited, and trading LaVine is the main organizational focal point for now,” Johnson wrote. “In fact, league sources said that, at least for now, Karnišovas is responding to inquiries on other players by saying he wants to see what the roster looks like post-LaVine trade first.”

So, as Chicago scours the trade market, expect a LaVine trade to come first.
