Report: Bengals to host free-agent CB A.J. Bouye on visit

The gears are starting to turn at Paul Brown Stadium for the Cincinnati Bengals as they dive into free agency.

According to Mike Klis of 9News in Denver, the Bengals will host veteran cornerback A.J. Bouye on a free-agent visit.

Bouye, 29, was a cap cut in Denver in February, saving the Broncos $13 million. He struggled at times last year, finishing with a 55.6 PFF grade. He was one of the most sought-after names a little while back when landing in Jacksonville back in 2017.

This sort of news would seem to hint the Bengals might be letting William Jackson test the open market, where they might be out-priced in a bidding war. A different new report said Jackson is positioned to be one of the market’s highest-paid players.

That said, the Bengals need plenty of quality depth too as Mackensie Alexander and LeShaun Sims get ready to test the open market, too.
