Report: Andrew Wiggins planning to attend Warriors’ game vs. Thunder on Tuesday

With only three games left on the regular season schedule, the Golden State Warriors got some much-needed positive news regarding Andrew Wiggins before the start of the postseason.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Wiggins is nearing a return to the court after missing 21 consecutive games due to a personal matter.

Along with his near return to the starting lineup, Wiggins will be in attendance for Golden State’s home game at Chase Center in San Francisco on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Citing sources, Charania also reported the reason for Wiggins’ leave from the Warriors was due to his father Mitchell dealing with a serious medical situation.

Wiggins last suited up on Feb. 13 against the Washington Wizards. Wiggins notched 29 points on 12-of-22 shooting from the field with seven boards and four assists in Golden State’s mid-Feb. win.

During the 2022-23 campaign, Wiggins is averaging 17.1 points on 47.3% shooting from the field and 39.6% from beyond the arc to go along with five rebounds and 2.3 assists in 32.2 minutes per contest over 37 games.

The Warriors are set to host the Oklahoma City Thunder for their final home game of the regular season at 7 p.m. PT on Tuesday.
