Registration underway for Kingwood 5K Run and Walk
The 14th annual Kingwood 5K Run and Walk will be held on June 8. Check-in and registration begins at 7:45 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. in front of the Kingwood Hall.
The chip-timed 5K is open to all abilities and ages and will allow participants to enjoy a beautiful course within Kingwood Center Gardens and along the B & O Bike Trail.
Registration is $25 and can be completed online at ohioraceday.com or by mail to Doug Heestand, 431 Edgewood Road, Mansfield, 44907. Questions may be sent to heest97@hotmail.com.
To be guaranteed an official race shirt, register by May 28. Walk-up registration on race day is $30; cash, check and credit card are accepted.
Awards will be presented in the courtyard following the race to the overall female, overall male, and for the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 9 years and under to 70 years and older. A new award for first-time participants will also be recognized.
The Kingwood 5K is presented by OhioHealth and is also supported by Contact Industries, F&F Bearing Company LLC, Rancho Fiesta, North Central State College, Clip Joint Barber Shop, Culligan Quality Water of North Central Ohio, Ohio Race Day and the Mansfield Y Run Club.
