Regional soccer roundup: Which area boys and girls teams moved on and which were sent home?

Here's a roundup of regional quarterfinal high school soccer matches held on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024.

Girls soccer

Region 3-7A quarterfinal

No. 6 Treasure Coast 1, No. 5 Harmony 0: The Titans are the last area soccer team still alive thanks to a narrow victory against the Longhorns from just outside of Orlando.

A goal from Victoria Valles was the difference as the senior midfielder put in the match’s only goal during the first half. Junior goalkeeper Kayleigh Marrell made six saves to pick up her fourth clean sheet of the season.

Following the upset, Treasure Coast (10-9) plays at 7 p.m. Friday at No. 2 Wellington in the semifinal round.

Region 2-6A quarterfinal

No. 4 West Boca Raton 1, No. 5 Martin County 0: More than two weeks ago, the Bulls hammered the Tigers 6-0 in the District 8-6A title game. In Tuesday's rematch, Martin County put up more of a fight, but eventually saw its season conclude on the road.

The visitors had six shots on goal, but came up empty on all of their attempts. Meanwhile, Tigers senior goalkeeper Dakota Moberg collected six saves.

Martin County finishes with a 12-2-3 record.

Boys soccer

Region 3-7A quarterfinal

No. 4 Royal Palm Beach 1, No. 5 St. Lucie West Centennial 0: The Eagles suffered two losses this season. But the team’s latest defeat shut the door on the 2023-24 campaign as Centennial fell on the road against the Wildcats. Stats were unavailable.

Two weeks after winning the District 10-7A title, the Eagles finished with a 7-2-6 record.
