Redwood wins 62nd Redwood Wrestling Invitational
The Redwood Rangers won their own wrestling tournament on Jan. 6 in Visalia, capturing the team championship at the 62nd Redwood Invitational.
Redwood compiled 273.5 points for first place in the 45-team tournament. Righetti came in second with 173 points and Madera was third with 153 points.
Four Redwood wrestlers won an individual title in their weight class:
Izaak Mendoza, Redwood (132 pounds)
Adrian DeLeon, Redwood (157)
Enrique Segura, Redwood (190)
Kai Preisendorf, Redwood (215)

Segura and Preisendorf won all five of their tournament matches. All five of Segura and Preisendorf’s victories came via pin.
Mendoza and DeLeon each won four contests en route to an individual tournament championship.
Three Tulare County wrestlers also captured an individual tournament crown:
