Redskins Suffer 17-13 Defeat Against 49ers
Alfred Morris had a big day for the offense, but it was not enough to avoid a loss for the Redskins against the 49ers, 17-13, in Santa Clara.
Robert Griffin III finished 11 for 19 passing for only 106 yards and no touchdowns and one fumble. Colin Kaepernick completed 20 of 29 passes for 256 yards, one touchdown and one pick for the 49ers.
Morris was a bright spot for the Redskins, running for 125 yards on 21 carries with a touchdown. DeSean Jackson caught two passes for 39 yards.
The Washington defense played well in the loss, giving up 66 yards rushing and 256 passing. They sacked Kaepernick two times.
49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin could not be contained, putting up 137 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Redskins head to Indianapolis next week to face the Colts (7-4) while the 49ers host the Seahawks (7-4).
