Reactions to Texas men's basketball's game-winner over Baylor: 'Tyrese Hunter is HIM'

The Texas men's basketball team's season was saved by Tyrese Hunter's mad dash to the basket.

The Longhorns were coming off of a tough loss to UCF in which they blew a 15 points lead. It looked like they might be in for another heartbreak on Saturday after Jalen Bridges tied it 73-73 with only 5 seconds left in Moody Center. Right after the make, Hunter dashed down the court and while falling away, put up the game winner to beat Baylor 75-73. Hunter led Texas with 21 points while Dylan Disu was the second leading scorer at 19.

The Bears were led by potential NBA draft lottery pick Ja'Kobe Walter, who collected 22 points on five of 12 shooting. The win keeps the Longhorns afloat in the Big 12 at 2-3 instead of falling to 1-4 in conference. Now at 13-5 overall, they'll be traveling north to Norman next to face off with Oklahoma in a marquee matchup.
