Reaction: Bowling Green upsets Georgia Tech, gets paid $1.1 million
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 2-3 to start the 2023 college football season. Georgia Tech suffered an embarrassing defeat to the Bowling Green Falcons in Week 5 to the delight of Georgia Bulldog fans and misery of Georgia Tech fans.
Georgia Tech paid Bowling Green $1.1 million to play in Atlanta, and lost 38-27. Bowling Green’s performance was more dominant than the scoreboard shows.
The Falcons forced three Georgia Tech turnovers, outrushed Georgia Tech 175 to 69 and had more than 42 minutes of possession.
Georgia Tech needs to win against opponents like Bowling Green if the Yellow Jackets want to make a bowl game anytime soon.

Georgia Tech can't overlook anything
Seeing that a player said we overlooked Bowling Green is something that infuriates me. The last time we made a bowl game was 2018 and we got embarrassed by Minnesota in that game. Since then we had 2019-2021 (3-9) and last year 2022 (5-7). WHY WOULD YOU OVERLOOK ANYONE!?!?!?!?!?

Georgia Tech changes defensive coaches after disaster
Wow – Georgia Tech coach Brent Key has demoted defensive coordinator Andrew Thacker to safeties coach and promoted co-DC Kevin Sherrer to DC. Sherrer was a Georgia linebackers coach in 2014-17. The moves came after Saturday;s 38-27 loss to Bowling Green.
