Reaction: Bowling Green upsets Georgia Tech, gets paid $1.1 million

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 2-3 to start the 2023 college football season. Georgia Tech suffered an embarrassing defeat to the Bowling Green Falcons in Week 5 to the delight of Georgia Bulldog fans and misery of Georgia Tech fans.

Georgia Tech paid Bowling Green $1.1 million to play in Atlanta, and lost 38-27. Bowling Green’s performance was more dominant than the scoreboard shows.

The Falcons forced three Georgia Tech turnovers, outrushed Georgia Tech 175 to 69 and had more than 42 minutes of possession.

Georgia Tech needs to win against opponents like Bowling Green if the Yellow Jackets want to make a bowl game anytime soon.
