Ravens release first injury report for Week 2 matchup vs. Chiefs

The Baltimore Ravens have dealt with a lot of injuries over the course of the last few weeks. They’ve seen key contributor after key contributor go down with injuries, and are now trying to maneuver through a plethora of new faces being with the team.

Baltimore is also looking to get a few players back who missed their Week 1 game with the Las Vegas Raiders. Ahead of their Week 2 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, Baltimore released their first injury report of the week. It had a few unexpected names on it, including wide receiver Marquise Brown, offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley and cornerback Chris Westry.

Stanley is still recovering from the ankle injury that he suffered midway through the 2020 season, but he ended up playing in the opening game of 2021, so it’s possible he either re-aggravated the injury or is just simply getting rested. Brown, Westry and Humphrey are the other new additions to the injury report that weren’t there last week so hopefully all three are able to return tomorrow.

Defensive lineman Derek Wolfe continues to not be able to practice due to a back/hip injury, but cornerback Jimmy Smith practiced in a limited fashion which bodes well for his game day availability on Sunday night.
