Ravens GM Eric DeCosta weighs in on giving massive extension to ILB Roquan Smith
The Baltimore Ravens made a major splash on Tuesday afternoon, signing All-Pro inside linebacker Roquan Smith to a five-year, $100 million extension. It was a deal that was well deserved for the star, and he will now be an anchor on Baltimore’s defense for years to come.
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta released a statement following the official announcement of the signing. He mentioned how Smith has been a leader both on and off of the field, while living up to and surpassing the lofty standards of defense within the Ravens’ organization.
