Rapper Ja Rule is now trying to curse NBA teams
Ja Rule has been known for many things through out his rap career including multiple hits on the Billboard Top 20 list for six years running, six top-10 albums which include two that reached the US Billboard 200.
But that was nearly two decades ago, and Ja Rule has been up to some new business endeavors. Most notably, the Bahamas-located Fyre Festival, which took place last April and turned out to be a legal, PR and general nightmare.
That hasn’t seemed to stop Ja Rule though. On Saturday, the Milwaukee Bucks scheduled him as a performer for their 90s-themed night in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Most people became increasingly anti-Ja Rule after his involvement in the Fyre disaster, but it wasn’t clear until this appearance that the boycott stemmed this far.
After Ja Rule’s entrance and congratulating the Bucks on being the No. 1 seed in the East, leading into his performance with some technical difficulties, there is ... nothing. Radio silence:
What’s more, toward the end of the performance Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo returns to the court to shoot some shots before Ja Rule finishes up.
Giannis taking practice shots in the middle of a Ja Rule halftime show is something I never thought I’d see. pic.twitter.com/fYZ7qSL2N3

Well, that didn’t sit well with Ja Rule, who has now gone on a Twitter tirade about the incident. His first victim of The Ja Rule Curse? None other than the Timberwolves, who threw some shade at Ja Rule’s performance in Milwaukee.
You just jinx yourself talking to the GOD this way... your CURSED NOW!!! You won’t win a championship for the next 30 years... AND KAT IS LEAVING!!! Apologize and I’ll lift the CURSE!!! 😘 kiss of death... https://t.co/RzUn4vKx2Y

On Tuesday morning, Ja Rule credited infamous sports-curse-caster and rapper Lil B for inspiring him to now “channel his cursing powers” toward the Sacramento Kings.
Shout out to the base God... @LILBTHEBASEDGOD I’ve channeled my curse powers from him... 😂😭😭 @SacramentoKings WILL NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP EVER... 😘😘😘

The Kings immediately fired back at Ja Rule, who later deleted the incredibly inaccurate tweet.
Hoop knowledge worse than Fyre Fest logistics. pic.twitter.com/BpQ9XOqgiu
— Sacramento Kings (@SacramentoKings) February 26, 2019
Fact check: Karl-Anthony Towns can’t leave the Kings in free agency ... because he plays for the Timberwolves. Ja, if you’re going to be throwing around curses, at least get them right.
Then, in an apparent jab at himself, he continued to beat down on the Kings via Twitter.
I bet I throw another festival before @SacramentoKings wins a championship... 😂😭🤣 NEVER WIN A CHIP!!!

And in what seems (at least we hope) to be the finale of Tuesday’s tirade against the Kings, Ja Rule posted one last tweet, stating that “This s— funny as f—... haha the curse is REAL... love the the city of Sacramento though great ppl...”
Maybe it’s time for Ja Rule to take a break from social media.
