Rangers prospects Gabriel Perreault, Drew Fortescue named to U.S. National Junior Team

Rangers prospects Gabriel Perreault and Drew Fortescue have been named to the United States junior national team for the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Both players were taken by New York in this year's draft.

Perreault, the 23rd overall pick, has been a star early on during his freshman season at Boston College. The 18-year-old has recorded five goals, 20 assists, and 36 shots on goal through 20 games so far this season.

Fortescue hasn’t racked up as many points, but the talented defenseman from Pearl River, New York has enjoyed his own success so far in his inaugural campaign with the Eagles.

The future is certainly bright for these two youngsters, and now they’ll get a chance to represent their country and showcase their skills to hockey fans all over the world on a national stage.

The tournament kicks off Dec. 26 in Sweden.
