Rams will host Cardinals in wild-card round after falling to No. 4 seed

The Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals will take their rivalry into the playoffs where they’ll decide the season series on wild-card weekend. After splitting their two regular-season matchups, the Rams will host the Cardinals in the first round of the playoffs.

By losing to the 49ers in overtime, 27-24, the Rams slipped to the No. 4 seed. They still won the NFC West because the Cardinals also lost to the Seahawks, but instead of hosting the Saints, they’ll now take on Arizona – a much tougher matchup.

The final seeding in the NFC is as follows

1. Packers

2. Buccaneers vs. Eagles

3. Cowboys vs. 49ers

4. Rams vs. Cardinals

The dates and times of these games haven’t been announced yet, but the matchups are set. There are two games on Saturday, three on Sunday and one on Monday as part of what the NFL calls Super Wild Card Weekend.

The Rams lost to the Cardinals 37-20 in Week 4, but they beat Arizona 30-23 in Week 14 to even up the season series.
