Monday night’s Yankees game against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park has officially been postponed due to inclement weather.

First pitch was scheduled for 7:10 p.m. but we quickly entered a rain delay before then, and after waiting around for about an hour both teams decided to call it a night.

Monday's game will be made up as part of a split-admission doubleheader on Tuesday with Game 1 beginning at 1:35 p.m. followed by the regularly scheduled 7:10 p.m. nightcap.

Randy Vasquez (2-2, 2.36 ERA) will take the ball for New York in the first game and Carlos Rodon (2-5, 6.60 ERA) will follow with his regularly scheduled start.

Monday's originally scheduled starter Clarke Schmidt (9-8, 4.54 ERA) will now start Wednesday and Michael King (4-5, 2.82 ERA) is currently scheduled to start Thursday's series finale.

Monday marked the third straight game in Boston to be impacted by rain after the start of Saturday’s and Sunday’s games against Baltimore were also delayed at the start due to weather.
