Preston Smith arrives to Lambeau Field in a full Michael Myers costume and then goes on to torture the Vikings

The Green Bay Packers have mostly given their fans nightmares with their play this season.

Preston Smith, meanwhile, was doing his best to provide some fear toward the Minnesota Vikings with his performance Sunday and how he arrived to Lambeau Field.

The Packers' outside linebacker appeared to have been the only player to have gotten the memo that it was Halloween weekend and that it's OK to have some fun.

The 30-year-old was captured by the Packers' social media team in the Lambeau Field parking lot dressed as Michael Myers, the famous horror character from the "Halloween" series. Smith wore the jumpsuit and a mask while holding a plastic bloody knife.

Smith went on to torture the Vikings on Sunday.

He posted two sacks, five tackles, one forced fumble and a pass deflection.

While the Packers have struggled over the last month, Smith has elevated his play. He has at least one sack in each of the last three games and his first sack on Sunday moved him into seventh most on the team's all-time list.

That sack came in the fourth quarter as the Vikings were in the midst of a long drive and already up 24-10. But Smith sacked Kirk Cousins for a 9-yard loss on a second-down play that started at the Green Bay 13-yard line. That drive ended with the Packers special teams blocking a 44-yard field goal attempt.

Despite being set up with great field position, the Packers offense failed to score and turned it over on downs.

Smith would do everything he could to give the Packers another shot.

On the next possession, with backup quarterback Jaren Hall now in the game after Cousins departed with an Achilles injury, Smith registered another sack and forced a fumble in the process. Teammate Devonte Wyatt recovered the ball, and gave the Packers offense the ball at the Vikings 15-yard line.

Unfortunately, Jordan Love and the offense again turned it over on downs after they couldn't get a first down.

Smith's costume was scary but maybe not more than the Packers' offense.
