Triway began the year with a bang with a convincing win over Northwestern in one of the area's annual opening-night rivalries.
Freshman Bruin Flinner excelled in his high school debut, scoring 21 points on just 11 field goal attempts. Cale Drown was efficient as well, dropping 13 points as Triway roared out to a 34-19 halftime lead and never looked back.
Jacob Ward and Wahied Fasihi led Northwestern with 10 points apiece.
