Prep Roundup: Hillsdale beats Norwayne, creates pileup atop WCAL baseball standings

BASEBALL

Hillsdale 10, Norwayne 3

Hillsdale bounced back from its first WCAL losses with a win over first-place Norwayne, creating a four-way tie atop the league.

Hillsdale, Dalton, Norwayne and Waynedale all entered Friday with two league losses.

There wasn't much drama in this one as Hillsdale led 6-1 after three innings and scored at least one run in each of the first five frames. Eight different players had a hit for the Falcons, including Nick Kandel and Braylen Jarvis with two apiece.

Meanwhile the combo of Kandel and David Parker limited Norwayne's lineup to three hits.
