PREP BOYS TRACK: Danville second at shortened meet
Apr. 18—MATTOON — While the Danville boys track team did not have enough time at the track in Thursday's Mattoon Invitational, the Vikings did make the most of it.
Danville took second as a team to Mount Zion at the invitational, which was called off with three events left.
D'Mario Jackson win the 100 meter dash (11.21) for the Vikings, while Aidan Henderson win the long jump (6.34m). Josiah Hoskins was second in teh 110 hurdles (16.92), while Jackson was third in the 400 (51.02) and Victor Jones was third in the high jump (1.85m).
The 400 relay team of Davari Boyd, Jayden Rowell, Jerry Reed III and Jackson was second at 43.02, while the 800 team of Boyd, Rowell, Reed and JaVaughn Robinson was third at 1:33.50.
